Essential oils are obtained from the fruits, flowers, seeds, leaves, peels, roots, woods or barks. Hundreds of essentials oils are out there, all of which have their individual properties and characteristic.
They are highly unstable and vanish easily and therefore are quickly absorbed by the skin. Many skincare products boast essential oils that have been combined for their healing properties, and scent. Here are four most well known and multipurpose essential oils used in skincare.
Sandalwood: With its strong anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, sandalwood oil is great for several skin infections and conditions including pimples and acne. With betonite clay and apple cider vinegar, sandalwood oil produces a mixture that is truly helpful for the acne skin. To produce the same, mix one tbsp. betonite clay, about ½ tbsp. apple cider vinegar and five drops of sandalwood together.
Then add more clay or vinegar to obtain a consistent paste. Spread the prepared mixture over your face and neck and leave for almost five minutes or so. Rinse off and follow up with toning and moisturizing. Use the remedy one time in seven days to get desired outcome.
Clary-Sage: It is one more incredibly helpful essential oil for acne skin. Moreover, it is also known for eliminating wrinkles and mild lines. You can use this oil by adding it to your standard moisturizer. Just three drops to any pump/squeeze of moisturizer are enough.
Geranium: Just like Clary-Sage, Geranium essential oil too is highly beneficial for wrinkles and broken capillaries. It is safe enough to be used on sensitive skin. It can be used in combination wit moisturizer and even toner. Three drops of the oil are enough in one oz.
Tea Tree: Tea tree essential oil is an incredible natural treatment for pimples and scars. It eliminates pimples in two days or less and also lessens their reoccurrence thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
