A regular facial treatment at least once a week is crucial for glowing, healthy and fresh-looking skin. However you don’t have to spend bucks at the salon to get it. You can give yourself DIY facial at home. All you need to do is to learn the way of properly doing it. A simple and easy step by step guide to DIY facial is given here;
Invest in a Quality Cleansing Oil
To begin with, invest in a premium cleansing oil that suits your skin tone and texture. As you don’t have to use it on daily basis, it should be enduring that can stay with you for long. Our recommendations are Dermalogica Precleanse, Shu Uemura Balancing Oil or DHC Cleansing Oil. All these are great products for a DIY facial.
Massage with Cleansing Oil
Apply the cleansing oil over your face, neck and under-chin area and massage for a few minutes gently with your fingertips. Then after, damp your hands to transform the oil into a mixture; go over the face once again and rub all areas light-handedly again. Finally rinse your skin with tepid water.
After rinsing, pat your face dry and cleanse again with your standard cleanser. Just like the cleansing oil, take time to massage the cleanser into your face, neck and chin areas well and finally wash it out with lukewarm water.
Next step is exfoliation. Exfoliate your skin with a mild exfoliator, massaging it gently into entire face, neck, chin, and around the ears. Finally wash it off and pat your skin dry. This step will leave your skin soft and smooth by purging all dead and dry skin cells.
Your skin will definitely feel much softer, smoother and cleaner after exfoliation. Now, it is time to pamper your face with a rehydrating face mask. Apply the mask over neck and face and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before removing with a warm damp muslin cloth, or flannel.
Draw your DIY facial to a close with moisturizer, or night cream. Also apply your standard eye-cream round your eyes and enjoy glowing, rejuvenated skin.
