Psy new music video has received over 50 million views on YouTube by Monday rewriting records video sharing site one day hits. Dance video to “Gentleman”, the South Korean singer highly anticipated follow-up “Style Gangnam, just posted on YouTube at 21:00 (1,200 GMT) on Saturday.
During the first 24 hours he has accumulated about 20 million hits, destroying the previous record for one day overlooking the 8.0 million set by “Boyfriend” Canadian handsome Justin Bieber video in May 2012.
Now that the record is likely to be stretched again to number about 40 hours after the release state of 51 million. The video shows Psy, wearing his signature sunglasses, dancing at various locations in and around Seoul, including high-end clothing store, restaurant, swimming pool and library.
“Gangnam Style” star in history has teasing and playing jokes about women, pulling their chairs after they are about to sit down and untying bikini top of a woman in a swimming pool, before meeting his match.
This is a video of “Gangnam Style”, and in particular the signing of Psy riding dance that pushed him to the popular all world last year after it was posted on YouTube and became a viral sensation.
A satire on the luxury lifestyle in the prestigious district of Seoul Gangnam, it became the most viewed video on YouTube of all time, registering more than 1.5 billion views since it debuted in July last year.
“Gentleman” is ranked in the top 10 songs on iTunes store Monday in several countries, including France, Canada, New Zealand, Denmark and Sweden. It also tops the list in Finland.
