There are myriad products available in the market that can treat the condition of your skin. Some of the treatments are even readily available at your home. However, before practicing, you should learn the step-by-step process.

Like other skin-related problems, there are two ways for getting rid of acne – natural method and product-based method –. Usually the people adopt the product-based method to get rid of acne as it is considered as quicker cure but those who do so, actually not do justice with their skin as most these chemical-based products harms their skin.

Due to the same reason several products have been banned. So avoid using these substandard products and use the natural method to get rid of acne, which we have discussed.

What Causes Acne

There are several factors that cause acne, most commonly due to the presence of abnormal cells in skin’s hair follicles, intense stress, hormonal imbalance, or inadequate vitamin.

Easy Ways to Get Rid of Acne

Follow these easy ways hopefully you will get rid of acne for a long time or probably forever.
• Try to swap your pillowcase more often. Analyze the sensitivity of your acne and transform your routing while swapping your pillowcase.
• Another pertinent way to rip through acne is that don’t touch your face until you haven’t washed your hands as the condition will tatter from this. Keeping the hands busy will be the best solution.
• Daily exercise for about 30 minutes at gym or home also helps you to get rid of acne.
• Having a daily skin-care routine is indispensable for preventing the skin problems and when it comes to acne, its importance increases. Choose a right facial cleanser and wash your face with it regularly.

In this type of acne the pimples occur, burst open, get inflamed and infect the surrounding areas too. The affected area sometimes also bleeds and smells bad.

The causes of acne may vary from person to person; in some cases it’s triggered by hormonal imbalance, childbirth or pregnancy etc while in others it happens to be hereditary.

Depending on the skin type, there are a number of cystic acne treatment options available.

Topical Cleanser

The first and foremost cystic acne treatment option is tropical cleanser that meant especially for the acne skin. Specialized cystic acne cleansers like Benzoyl Peroxide or Cetaphil boast anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and help eradicating the pimples by destroying the infection causing organisms and soothing the skin irritation. One is supposed to cleanse the problem area with the suitable cleanser and lukewarm water twice a day to get better upshots.

Moreover, you should always use oil-free cosmetics and take measures to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.

Prescription Treatment

Tropical cleansers at times prove insufficient for treating cystic acne in some patients. Therefore, the dermatologist and skincare experts recommend prescribed medications such as azelaic acid, rentinoids or benzoyl peroxide. These are chiefly antiseptic agents and are potent enough to diminish acne provided that it’s at early stage. The efficiency of this treatment depends on the acne-condition and thus may vary from patient to patient.

Oral Antibiotics

If the cleansers as well as the prescribed tropical medication fail to produce the results, the next option is oral antibiotics. Commonly prescribed antibiotics for cystic acne are doxycycline, minocycline and tetracycline etc.

However, for women, birth control pills are also recommended since in many cases the underlying cause of the inception of breakouts in women is increased level of testosterone during pregnancy. These medications reduce testosterone level and thus help reducing acne.

Laser Treatment

And last; Laser Treatment. It is the last treatment option for treating cystic acne when all other methods fail to produce results. Not only laser treatment effectively treats cystic acne but also prevent the recurrence of acne in future.

Sebum production happens to be at its peak during puberty and teenage and hence breakouts is a common skin issue in teenagers.

While the optimum quantity of sebum produced by the sebaceous gland can be highly beneficial for your skin, over-activity of the sebaceous glands can trigger several skin-issues along with giving your skin an oily, greasy look.

There are many factors which contribute to abnormal sebum production including hormonal imbalance, poor dirt and improper skincare regimen. It isn’t an irresolvable issue however. you can get the issue fixed by following some skincare tips.

Keep the Skin Clean and Dry

As you know the sebum production is usually related with oily skin, keeping the skin dry and clean can help you reduce its production. So, make it a point to cleanse your face regularly with an oil-free cleanser and then pat it dry gently with a soft cloth.

Use a Good Toner

After you’re done with cleansing, tone your skin with a quality skin-tonic. This will work to open up the clogged pores allowing your skin to breathe freely by wiping off the dir and grime accumulated in the pores. Moreover, regular toning also eliminates the excess oil present on your skin and thus helps cutting back on sebum production.

Dry Face Masks

Using dry face masks is another quick fix for oily, sebum producing skin. Such sort of face masks ensure absorption of oil resulting in softer, smoother, dry skin. Some popular and effective dry face masks for oil-, acne-prone skin include a clay mask or a turmeric based mask. Besides avoiding a shinier look and inhibiting production of sebum, these masks also help eradicating breakouts.

Supplements for Oily Skin

If the sebum produced by your skin giving way to the breakouts like acne and pimples, consuming supplements of some skin-friendly vitamin will be extremely fruitful. Vitamin A is a wonderful skin vitamin that diminishes the sebum production and ensures a cleaner, healthier skin. Consuming carrot and sweet potatoes can also satisfy the need of skin-friendly vitamin in your skin bringing remarkable improvement in your skin condition.

However, by pampering your skin rightly and leaving what is causing you to age, you can hold up the ageing process. Here are some four face-lifting tips to improve your skin and give it a youthful glow.

Cleansing

Our skin is just like an absorbent sponge and tends to absorb everything it comes in contact with. That’s why, the dirt and other impurities present in the air accumulates on our skin. If not cleansed properly, these accumulations set several skin conditions in motions such as breakout, patchy skin etc. Cleanse your skin regularly with a suitable cleanser instead of investing in a costly salon treatment to give you face the much-needed lift instantly.

Toning

The next step to soft, supple, youthful skin is toning. The cleansers enlarge the pores to deep cleanse your skin. If left that way, these enlarged skin pores can upsurge the risk of blemish formations. Toners are specialized products to minimize the enlarged pores. So, ensure using an alcohol-based toner after cleansing to minimize the pores and kill any underlying bacteria. You’ll find your skin instantly glowing after toning.

Scrubbing

Scrubbing or exfoliation is the third ritual of every basic skincare regimen. It expels deep-seated grime in the pores plus purging the dead skin cells that give you a worn-out look. It’s actually a one-step cleansing and toning process which leaves you with extremely glowing and robust skin.

Moisturizing

Besides grime, cleansing, toning and scrubbing treatments strip your skin of natural essential oils too. If left unnoticed, the skin will become dry and flaky giving way to wrinkle. Moiisturizing the skin with a suitable moisturizing lotion or cream hydrates the skin and keep the elastic collagen layers fresh, maintaining the youthful appearance of your skin.

But are you sure that they really work? Let’s check out four surprising winter skincare myths.

Myth 1: Warm water hydrates and soothes dry skin

Truth: Though it’s hard to resist warm-water shower in the chilly winter season, over indulging yourself in it can cause irreparable damage to your skin. Research has proven that over exposure to warm water dehydrates your skin. So, always try to ensure that you don’t soak yourself in hot water for more than five minutes. Moisturize your skin twenty minutes after taking bath to replenish the moisture to your skin.

Myth 2: Oily skin doesn’t need moisturizer

Truth: Oily skin also needs moisturizers as much as dry or combination skin. During winter, oily skin starts patching up. That’s why, it is vital to treat it with a suitable moisturizer at least twice a day—in morning and before going to bed. In addition t moisturizing the skin, moisturizer will also protect your skin from air pollutants and dust.

Myth 3: Sunscreen isn’t necessary in winters

Truth: One of the biggest winter skincare myths is that you don’t need to use sunscreen during wintertime since sunrays are not very intense in chilly weather months. It’s not true!!! Remember, down to the depletion of ozone layer, penetration of ultraviolet rays has been increased and even if there isn’t particularly sunny, these rays can damage your skin. So, always make sure to wear sunscreen 15 minutes before stepping out in the sun.

Myth 4: Saliva is enough to moisturize the lips

Truth: There is a common misconception that saliva is enough to keep the lips hydrated and thus using lip balms isn’t vital. It’s not the case!!! Saliva is proven to have drying effects on the lips. It moisturizes the lips for a while but its long-term effects are bad for your pouts. So, invest in a quality lip-balm, preferably Vaseline-based one, and use it regularly to keep your lips well moisturized.

This article is a short guide on how to create some helpful acne masks at home using ordinary kitchen items.

Check out the recipes below:

Salt Mask

This is one of the easiest masks you can create to relieve your skin condition. To make the mask you have to get some sea salt/cooking salt and mix it with adequate amount of water to get a thick paste. Let the paste sit for twenty minutes before applying. Thereafter spread it over the problem area, hold for half an hour and finally rinse off with tepid water. The mask will work like a magic to cleanse the skin and dry-up the blemishes.

Baking Soda Mask

Create this mask by mixing together one tsp baking soda with half tsp plain water and dab it on sparingly over pre-cleansed rashes, zits and blemishes. Leave the mask on for about thirty minutes or so and then rinse off with plain water. It will leave you with soft, supple, cleansed skin. It’s a wonderful mask, but it doesn’t work the same for everyone; some people manage see significant improvement in their skin condition while others don’t. If you find the mask working for you, use it thrice a week for better results.

Yogurt Mask

Another useful and easy to create pimple mask involves the use of yoghurt and honey. Simply mix four tsp of sour yogurt with two tsp honey and blend well. You may want to use one tsp hot water to make the blending easier. Put on the mask over your face, wait for fifteen minutes and rinse off finally with tepid water, splashing cold water as the final rinse.

" src="http://www.fashionncare.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Three-Steps-To-Smooth-And-Patch-Free-Elbows.jpg" width="283" height="220" />Like the rest of our body skin, our elbows also deserve attention but unluckily most of us don’t involve them in our daily or even weekly or month skincare regimen. The skin on our elbows tends to be very rough and if not looked after properly, it turns discolored and dried out. If you’re facing the issue, revitalize your elbow skin by follow these simple steps:

Step I: Scrubbing

Scrubbing is very important to keep the rough skin of elbows and knees smooth. You can value different scrubs for this purpose. Below given are two natural scrub recipes you can easily create at home.

Lemon/pumice stone scrub: Create the scrub by mixing together half tsp of pumice stone dust and one tsp lemon juice and scrub it gently on to your elbows for a couple of minutes and wash off while taking shower.

Brown sugar scrub: This is also a great scrub to purge rough, dry skin off your elbows leaving them smooth. To prepare the scrub you have to combine equal dosages of grounded brown sugar and olive oil and mix well. Massage the scrub light-handedly on your elbows using circular motion and wash off while bathing.

Step II: Moisturizing

After taking shower moisturize the area with a thick moisturizer, Vaseline or glycerin .

Step III: Night Treatment

Pampering your elbows before going to bed is crucial for keeping it smooth and for preventing discolored skin. Here I am sharing with you two natural treatment lotions you can use at night. You’ll definitely see a major difference in how your elbows look and feel.

Take in a bowl equal quantities of Vaseline, uncontaminated olive oil and baby oil and mix them well to get a pasty material. Massage the lotion onto your elbows every night. You will notice that dry scales of skin have been disappeared even after a few uses.

Prepare a good night moisturizing-balm for your elbows by melting 1/4 cup beeswax,1 cup of cocoa butter and 1 cup of shea butter along with ½ cup jojoba oil and ½ cup olive oil. As soon as all the ingredients are liquefies, blend well and store in a dry airtight jar. Use every night for getting soft, supple elbows.

Unfortunately, the majority of females are unaware to the side effects of commercial lip plumper products.

In fact, the commercial lip plumper contains any irritant ingredient (such as chili pepper, ginger, mint, menthol or cinnamon) due to which, the lips swell temporarily and look fuller and pouty. In the reaction of irritant constituents, the blood vessels become dilate, so the blood flow to the lips increases. Sometimes, the use of irritant ingredient may cause more intense reactions like redness, swelling or rashy appearance etc.

Itchiness

The feeling of slight tingling and burning is a common result of lip plumper but if the itchiness becomes unbearable, its mean your skin has allergy to niacin that is used in the lip plumper to increase blood.

Redness

The appearance of skin eruption or rashes is another possible reaction of the lip plumper. It is to remember that if you have sensitive skin, the swelling, itching and redness may become a reason of high fever.

Burning

As I have mentioned in above lines that miner itchiness and burning reactions are closely related to the application of lip plumper but if your lips feel like they are on fire, you should remove the lip plumper immediately.

Swelling

When you use a lip plumper, miner and temporary swelling is a must reaction to give your lips fuller and pouty look but no one wants shock-like swelling or eruptions. Cinnamon oil – that is most common ingredient of lip plumper – contains an ingredient cinnamic aldehyde that is known to cause allergic reactions.

Dryness

Regular application of a lip plumper is a major cause of dry and cracked lips. For the proper protection of lips, you should choose the plumper that comprises a moisturizer like shea butter, aloe vera and sunflower oil.

Exfoliation treatment purge off any dead, dry skin and makes your skin soft and smooth. While tons of chemical-based facial scrubs are available for every skin type, it is always a wiser decision to make your own facial treatments since the facial skin happens to be very sensitive and astringents present in drugstore exfoliates can irritate your skin.

Here in this article I’m sharing with you a few wonderful facial scrub recipes for normal skin.

Chocolate Face Mask

The first exotic facial recipe for normal skin is chocolate face make. It combines cacao powder, honey and avocado. You can also add a little cornmeal to the mixture to create a natural exfoliant. Take 1/3 cup raw cocoa powder, 1/4 cup raw honey, 2 tbsp grated avocado and 3 tsp cornmeal (optional) and blend them together to create a creamy mixture. Apply the mixture to your skin light-handedly and gently massage it into your skin for a couple of minutes. Wait for 20 minutes or so and then rinse off with warm water.

Mixed Avocado Mask

Avocado is a natural ingredient that can work wonders for a normal skin. Easy-to-create and use mixed avocado mask uses adequate dosages of avocado pulp, orange juice, honey, chamomile oil and molasses. Blend all the ingredients in a blender and spread the resultant mixture evenly over your face and neck. Gently massage it into the skin. Let it sit for half an hour and then rinse away with tepid water.

Rose Petal Mask

This facial scrub recipe is equally beneficial for normal as well as combination skin. It will leave you with revitalized and really smooth skin. The preparation of rose petal mask involves mixing of rose petals, rosewater, fresh yogurt and honey together and blending well to get a lotion-like mixture. Dab a generous amount of this lotion on top of your skin for almost ten minutes and finally wash off with lukewarm water.
